Description:
The Department of Educational Management and Development has designed the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program (ELDP) for practicing administrators in K-12 institutions, as well as community college and university employees. The goal of the ELDP is to prepare administrators to be leaders in the movement to change educational systems so that they become equitable and responsive to all learners in our multicultural and diverse society.

Requirements:
All students are expected to:
<ul><span class=""showBullets"">
<li>Be a practicing K-12 administrator, or community college or university employee.</li>
<li>Hold a Bachelor`s and Master`s degree (in any discipline) from an accredited
university.</li>
<li>Submit a written commitment from the appropriate supervisor stating the
institution`s support of the applicant. </li>
<li>Participate in a mandatory cohort orientation..</li>
<li>Attend course instruction one weekend a month, on Saturday and Sunday.</li>
<li>Achieve a grade of 3.0 or better in all required courses (on a 4.0 scale).</li>
<li>Participate in and pay for cross-cultural experiences with cohort members.
</li>
<li>Comply with all additional requirements for admission into the EMD doctoral
program as outlined in the EMD Doctoral Handbook.</li>
<li>Attend and pay for at least two national or international research conferences
during the three-and-a-half-year program.</li></span>
