New Mexico State University at Grants was established in 1968 as a comprehensive community college serving the citizens of Cibola County. Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, NMSU at Grants currently offers over 30 associate degree and certificate programs as well as community education classes, seminars, workshops, and performances. Further, NMSU at Grants is now offering a number of courses via distance education and is collaborating with New Mexico State University at Las Cruces to provide opportunities for area residents to complete bachelor?s degree programs in elementary education and in human and community services (additional degree completion programs are planned).
