Description:
The MA in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction is a graduate degree program that will prepare students to become educators for public, private, and governmental institutions. Graduates will be prepared to serve as directors of instruction and curriculum subject matters specialists, supervisors of student teaching, and college professors of curriculum and instruction.

Requirements:
Admission to the Graduate School. Students must be fully admitted to the Graduate School before taking any Graduate courses in this program. Enrollment and acceptance into the Master of Arts Program.
Required Courses:
<p>The degree has a minimum of 32 hours and it culminates with a written examination over the program of studies.</p>
<p>Required Core Courses (15 credits):</p>

<li>EDUC 535 Foundations of Curriculum or EDUC 538 Curriculum Development Process or EDUC 516 Curriculum and Pedagogy I</li>
<li>EDUC 519 Research in Curriculum &Pedagogy</li>
<li>EDUC 505 Classroom Management or EDUC 539 Evaluating Instructional Strategies or EDUC 517 Curriculum and Pedagogy II</li>
<li>EDUC 518 Technology and Pedagogy</li>
<li>EDUC 515 Multicultural Education</li>
</ul>
<p>Electives (minimum of 17 credits):</p>

<li>These credits can be from any related area as long as they are for graduate credit and approved by your Advisor.</li>
